Massimo Bassan is a music composer living and working in Venice area, Italy.

He worked as a jazz pianist in northern Italy while studying music composition at the State Music Conservatory of Castelfranco Veneto, where he graduated and  achieved a master’s degree in Film Music. He composed music for documentaries, docufictions, web docs, web series aired or published on RAI3, Wired Italia and Wired Japan, Radio France International, Rai Radio 3 Scienza.

He wrote music for e-Books and music songs published by Mondadori, Zanichelli and Pingu’s English. Lately he worked as a score editor and arranger for two animated films for Alcuni Groups, distributed by Videa. He also composed music for performing arts and some works have been selected and performed at major conferences: ICMC 2010 in New York, 2015 ICSC in St. Petersburg and won the 2nd prize of Europarliament TV 2011. He’s been composer in residence twice in 2014 e 2015 at Visby International Centre for Composer in Sweden.
